EDMC Group crew and plant on a WA site
Capability statements · Perth and across WA

Capability statements for mining and civil contractors, shown professionally.

When the next tender or supplier registration asks for a capability statement, you either have one ready or you don't. We write it for procurement from your facts, design it with real photos of your crews, plant and sites, and date it so procurement can see it's current.

Why it matters

This is what procurement checks.

Head contractors, principals and tender panels check your capability statement before they shortlist you. If it's missing, out of date or doesn't match your website, they're left guessing what you can do.

16 of 34

16 of the 34 contractors we reviewed had facts that conflicted between their website and capability statement. A contracts manager who sees two numbers wonders which one is current.

AJM review of 35 contractor websites and capability statements, October 2026. One site couldn't be accessed, so figures are out of 34.

FAQ

How much does a capability statement cost?

It depends on the size of the business and whether we're shooting new photos. A capability statement is usually part of a Capability Upgrade, which starts from $3,000 + GST. If you'd rather build it yourself, the Contractor Capability Kit is $249 inc. GST.

Can you use our existing photos?

Yes, if they're your own and sharp enough to print. If they're stock or out of date, we recommend a content day so procurement sees your real crews and plant.

Will you write that we're prequalified?

Only if you hold the document. We never write "prequalified", "approved supplier" or "Tier 1 supplier" unless it's true and current.

How do we keep it current?

Keep one facts register (headcount, years operating, fleet, certifications, ABN) and update the statement from it. Every version carries a date.

Does a capability statement guarantee work?

No. It helps you get found, understood and shortlisted. It doesn't replace prequalification, safety systems, insurance or certifications.
